Kenya Kegwa comes from the Kirinyaga region, where more than 2,000 smallholder farmers deliver their coffee cherries to Kegwa Factory. Thanks to the region’s volcanic soils and an elevation of 1,600 meters above sea level, this coffee displays the vibrant fruit character and bright acidity typical of Kenyan coffees.
The SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11 varieties are among Kenya’s most celebrated cultivars, known for their complexity, vibrant fruit character, and bright acidity. Together, they bring a fresh and juicy profile with notes of hibiscus and sweet blackberry, complemented by blackcurrant in the finish.
Coffee cherries are selectively handpicked at peak ripeness and carefully sorted before processing. The washed processing highlights the coffee’s clarity and sweetness, allowing its vibrant fruit notes to shine.
