Product detailed description
This microlot comes from the Finca Casa de Piedra farm in the prestigious coffee region of Tarrazú in Costa Rica. The farm is one of two operated by the family business Café Directo, founded in 2013 by father and daughter Gerardo and Jennifer Arias. With more than 30 years of experience in growing and processing specialty microlots, they focus on producing coffee of the highest quality with an emphasis on sustainability and fair trade.
The coffee is grown at an altitude of 1500–1800 meters above sea level, where the specific microclimate and fertile soil create ideal conditions for the red catuai variety. Harvesting is done by hand, with careful selection of only fully ripe cherries. These are then processed using the washed method, fermented and dried on a combination of raised beds and patios for approximately 8 days.
In the cup, it offers a clean and balanced profile with notes of red apple, raisins and a subtle nutty finish, making it a fresh everyday coffee with distinctive character.
